Make your own telescope?

Make your own telescope?

Telescope:
An optical instrument for making distant objects appear
larger, make or become shorter by sliding each section
inside the next; compress or become compressed forcibly.
Telescopes are of two kinds. refractors and reflector type.
The refractors telescopes use lenses which bend the light rays
and the image is seen as magnified object. Reflector telescopes
are mirrors to display the image. There are three kinds of
telescopes they are Galilean, Newtonian and cassegranian.

Materials to make your own telescope:

Two plastic tubes 12&16 in length and 3.8cm 2.5cm in
diameter, which will slide/ fit into each other with tight.
One convex lens measuring 3.8cms in diameter with a focal
length of 5cms. Plastic tape or glue.

PROCEDURE:

Take the plastic tube with the
bigger diameter and fix the convex
lens to the one end with plastic tap
or fix fox it with glue;.
Similarly take the other tube with
the smaller diameter and tape the
concave lens onto the other end. Insert
the smaller  tube in the bigger
tube and adjust it so that it just slides. Now focus the objective  lens
to a distant object. adjust the tube until you see a clear image  of the
object which you want to view.

The  telescope's objective lens bends the light from object and creates a
sharp image on the eye piece. The eye piece then makes the image larger
the distance between the two lenses are so adjusted that a clear image is
seen.
